Re: Charging speed is very slow with Pod Point home charger
I don't have a Podpoint but my charger came set at 2.2kW charge rate by default. The installer had to communicate with the supplier, confirm that the system was safe and capable of 7.4kW and the charger was then set up for its full output. I suspect that you could call Podpoint and ask them what you...

Re: Unplanned Road Trip Manchester Hamburg
Wow. I'm not sure that mixing it with the lorries in the nearside lane is that pleasurable. You'll certainly extend range at that speed though. They travel at true 90kph so more like 93 indicated by the car. Some of them refuse to brake on the downloads until 100kph also. Scary.

Re: Unplanned Road Trip Manchester Hamburg
That route has chargers on it so charging shouldn't be an issue Cosmyc. Some big climbs though; around 900 metres near San Clemente. Do that sort of climb even at 110kph and the battery power disappears extremely quickly. I'm sure you must have factored that in. You clearly are a technical chap. If ...

Re: Unplanned Road Trip Manchester Hamburg
That was a good trip report; very interesting. I normally find the internal sat-nav very good, though you have to watch it doing the occasional very odd thing such as taking you off a motorway, round the roundabout and back on again! However, the default setting for map info is "off" for s...

Re: It's that pesky 12V battery yet again...
Cosmyc, thanks very much for posting the above information that gives insight as to what is happening. Do you also know the maximum rating of the charger so that we may understand the amount of energy that the 12 volt battery could receive in its RHD 7 minute charge period? The logic seems slightly ...

Re: It's that pesky 12V battery yet again...
Whilst Nissan are at it, could they possibly explain why the 12v battery is run at such low voltage? So far, so good with mine but why the heck is it operating either side of 12v. It has less than half its capacity at that level.

Re: Do you have to change tires more often in EVs?
Amazing that the petrol heads were able to create and maintain the myth of EV tyre wear. Why would another 75kg per tyre make any significant difference? As ever, differential tyre wear comes from the grey matter between the ears and the right foot!

Re: low resolution on android auto
With my S22, resolution on Android Auto is the same as Ariya Apps. I can only offer 2 things to try. 1. Clear the AA app cache on the phones. This is always worth trying if Apps suddenly don't function correctly. 2. There are some very variable quality USB C cables. Try a genuine Samsung and see if ...

Re: Recall on propilot and Aircon setting off alarm
But, in classic Nissan style, if a steering wheel is needed, is there then a 3 month wait and another visit to the dealer?
