Re: Body Knocking Noise
Thanks Xuana, I intend to push back but I am trying to find out from the forum whether or not anyone else has the problem before I engage the service manager tomorrow.

Re: production design errors doors Ariya?
It's muck! Drive through enough of it as several people have and all cars will retain some. The Ariya is worse than average but a good sponge or a hose/jet wash fixes it in a minute.

Re: Body Knocking Noise
It's definitely not in the cabin. The Nissan fitter and I both thought it was on the right hand side around the footwell. I don't believe that it is part of the drive train and they checked all the steering joints. The noise is most apparent at low speed so creep forward with no accelerator and it i...

Body Knocking Noise
A number of months ago, my car developed a pronounced knocking sound slightly reminiscent of tapping a plasterboard wall gently with one's knuckle. It is most evident travelling over undulating surfaces rather than potholes, as such road irregularity induces lateral rather than longitudinal reaction...

Re: It's that 12V battery again.
Thanks for the additional information as to how it is controlled Cosmyc. Perhaps Nissan has a different understanding of lead/acid battery performance than you, I and, indeed, other auto manufacturers.

Re: It's that 12V battery again.
There is something very strange about how the 12 volt battery is managed in the Ariya. My wife's PHEV is superficially managed in the same way in that it is supplied with a potential well in excess of 14 volts when charging. Drive it for 20 minutes and then leave it for an hour and the voltage will ...

And don't forget the management tactics of writing down anticipated future bad news when results aren't good so that bad figures don't dribble on into the future.

Re: Battery heating before fast charging
In UK with our temperate climate and comparatively mild winters, I just wouldn't worry about it. One has to pay attention in places like Norway and perhaps UK if we had another 1963 winter. Just let the car look after itself.

But, don't forget Cosmyc's fortitude. Driving at a true 57mph across the endless Spanish motorways takes some doing. I traverse the Spanish plains each year and 120kph cruising feels laggardly.

Re: Advice to potential Nissan Ariya purchasers - DON'T!
Above the dealers, Nissan UK are totally useless. I think that might be, partially, because there is very little of it. Technical for Europe (equally useless) is in Belgium and Corporate Europe is in France. I wonder, does anyone have an inkling how many people work in Nissan UK and I don't mean man...
