Could it be that if you open up that logo case, you will find that nissan has produced a dummy version for markets that don't allow the logo to be lit. No circuit board or electric stuff, just plastic things.
As soon as my car is back from the work shop I will look into this, to see if I dare to order a LED logo from the US. For that I need the product number for a working LED unit. Does anyone have that number? It will be easier to order it if I know the number.

I haven't order anything yet, I haven't looked if my Ariya has an illuminated logo, I suspect yes since it's an Evolve launch model.
The part number from USA is 62890-5MPOB, costs around 165$.
Also checked there's no good way to illuminate it from software, since Ariya uses Nissan Consult 4 and this iteration of the diagnostics software doesn't let you do manual programming but automated cloud programming according the VIN vehicle specifications on Nissan server.
You could trick the software and program an empty IPDM/R module on a USA Ariya and then retrofit that unit on a EU spec one, problem is that would imply the car will have some USA behavior for other things for whatever the IPDM/R manages and could not be desirable.
So the easy way is to do it the conventional way, only side-effect is a DTC on your car due to an undesired current leak (the one that supplies power to the emblem).
