Anyway my App completely frozen yet again and just spent 10 minutes trying to explain that as of 31st Jan you removed Maps & Live Data from Our Connect services App and I’ve not found a way of getting it back and this my 4th call , they said pass it up to line manger ha ha

Cosmyc, yes it’s weird, I did still have frozen maps but after seeing a post about holding in power button centre of volume control until screen went blank and then start home screen it’s cleared that up and works fine now

As I understand it, the remote services option does not include preconditioning the car - that is in Intelligent Route Planning! Doesn’t seem that intelligent to me - but there you go!! The more worrying thing is that the subscription for that has gone up to £2.99/month from £1.99!!!! That’s a 33% plus increase!!! That’s the trouble with modern cars - they’re good, but you used to get all the things on your car until they broke - now it’s all subscription.

Hi, just had a map update come through to the car as an OTA update. Not sure how big it is yet. A little surprised.

Update: only small update that did it's own thing overnight. Now have version 22219,0,8.

Found out how to clear the frozen app, press the infotainment button in holding until it does a reset, screen will go black then reboot back up and hey presto my maps back up and running fine

Can someone who has had a recent update to the maps software and car software tell me what they are? I was supposed to have had this done at my recent service but do wonder if it actually happened. I was told the mapping software can be done OTA but when I connected the car to my house wifi it seemed to suggest there were no new updates. Maybe some of you know different.

I was charged £1.80 per month for Remote Control Services which includes warming the cabin, is that what you mean by preconditioning the car, I assume not? I like to pre heat the cabin in Winter. :? I haven't bothered with Intelligent Route Planner because I use Google Maps via Android Auto. As the battery heater can only be deployed at zero anyway, this is really of very limited advantage. It kicks in anyway when you start to charge so doesn't really extend charging tome by much at all. When I look at what you get I can do all that using Google maps with the exception of live data, which I can get from many other apps that I don't pay for, Octopus for example. Being able to warm the cabin with RCS means there is no real advantage to me for the princely sum of £2.99.
