Good afternoon,

My Ariya has been on charge now for just over 15 hours and it’s still only 70%. It started on 10%.

Does anyone know how I can speed this up or if there’s something I need to do in order to speed it up? I’m new to all this and I’m finding it painfully slow. Would appreciate any help whatsoever.

Thank you

I don't have a Podpoint but my charger came set at 2.2kW charge rate by default. The installer had to communicate with the supplier, confirm that the system was safe and capable of 7.4kW and the charger was then set up for its full output. I suspect that you could call Podpoint and ask them what your charger is set up to supply.

At 7.4kW charge rate a big battery Ariya should be from 0% to 100% in about 13 hours.

Although we chose to have a PodPoint 7 kW charger installed when we bought our first EV, it never worked properly (it kept stopping the charge at random intervals long before the EV battery was full) and in the end we lost patience and asked the installer to remove it and refund us the total price, as they couldn't seem to resolve the problem despite a number of attempts at repair - it certainly wasn't our wiring or electricity supply.

I have a zappi v2. Works at 7.2kw most of the time. However not the most reliable and on the second one under warranty. However the ohme charger is one of the most reliable. That will be my next one. Simple but works.
