Just had my software recall updates and I can report zero obvious changes to anything. Clearly wireless android auto won't happen on my car anyway. No extra buttons I can see for anything. All it did is reset all my profiles to guest only as an option. I am sure it has done more but it isn't obvious. Even the map is the same as before.

Ditto. I had my updates installed on 17 December during a service but it hasn’t changed anything that I can see.

I’m particularly miffed about map updates. There haven’t been any during my 2 years of ownership, and the map version when compared to the courtesy Juke I had while my Ariya was at the dealer is at least 3 versions newer in the Juke.

I don’t know if map updates is part of the “Maps and Live Data” part of Nissan Connect. If it is then that subscription is flawed and despite it having expired today, I can’t renew it because it’s vanished from the Nissan Store.

Reported to Nissan days ago but they must be having Christmas and New Year off…

Things are in a mess. There pinnacle electric product, years of experience in the EV world, don't seem to make a difference. If new maps are on more recent vehicles using the same tom tom service, why doesn't the Aryia get them even if it's dealer only?

Just shows the stare of the company still doing things the old way. Not surprised there is a potential merger on the cards. Not sure Honda in the EV space is any better to be honest.

Shane to say it but the likes of BYD are leaping ahead and should never be this good this soon. 90 year old company trying very hard to fail. They have been the EV game longer than Tesla but are now decades behind them in most areas. A Joke.

I bought the aryia for its design looks, how it drove and comfort. Also I thought they may have used the 10 years plus of the leaf experience and lept forward with innovation and technology especially at the software level. I have driven the leaf and it's much more solid car, software besides. That's not great on both when it should be leaps and bounds ahead of the leaf. Shame. Rant over.

Never liked Nissan, only went for it as it was a good lease deal.
Never Again.

As alluded above, I thought they had a lead over everyone else in EVs, but so many things in the Ariya under par.

Why the resolution of the screens so poor?
Why no one pedal drive?
Why does the 360 camera turn off as soon as you switch from reverse to forward?
Why the heated steering wheel never comes on automatically?
Why does the seat heating seating comes on the passenger side when it isn't occupied?
Why is the lane centering so bad?

That and many other things in my limited experience. I have also experienced the seat heating experience when it's empty to! Something easily sorted through software to. Like many of the gremlins are. I just hope they later cars are in a better place than the first iterations.

Had the update Tuesday. Wireless Android Auto still not working. I have been using a BT dongle so wonder if I have to remove this first. Any ideas? Does anyone who has had the update know if the SOC on arrival works with Google Maps? I never used on board navigation as it was so poor compared to Google. Is it now useable?

Don't get too excited! The update only prepares the car for updates. There aren't any functional updates yet.

Hi , just had the software update done. One thing it has fixed is that the USB map update finally worked.
I have a 2022 Evolve, it came with the *0_2 version maps ( 2020). The WiFi update, USB update and Dealership, all says these are latest maps available, except we know they are not. On the Nissan map update tool, a complete all map and Reset download is available. When I tried this in December it would not work, very frustratingly just kept saying update was already in progress when I plugged the USB stick back into the car. It worked yesterday, and it could just be the software update , causes the module to reset.
Anyway happy to now have the 2022 maps. I know Google maps is better but I do like the navigation directions on the HUD. Being a private owner, I have to keep the car for quite a while, given the depreciation, so I might as well keep it up to date.
I also note that I am unable to renew map and Traffic updates in the App store. I am assuming this is because this is stop us from paying for something that Nissan can't deliver at the moment....

Ariya Evolve 86Kwh, Blue/Black, scheduled delivery 11/11/22.

After reading the previous post, I ran the Nissan Map Update tool on my computer and sure enough it's now showing an update is available. The version indicated is 2024.06. The update is over a gigabyte in size. I don't use USB sticks that often and any I do have contain things I can't be bothered to check through so I'm going to order a new stick and keep it for map updates... so it'll only be used once every few years ;)

My question - does this work with a USB-C stick? When I originally copied the file in the car it was to an old USB-A stick. I'd prefer to get a USB-C...

Of course the car could update itself, but I'm not holding my breath...

EDIT: USB-C works fine. Map version updated to 22219_0_9

Great! As above I have the new car firmware, no OTA map update available but 2024.06 available by USB.
I just ran the map update and installed 2024.06 in the car. This successfully installed UK South map version 22219_0_9 over my 22219_0_5.
For those who have done this type of update before, there is one difference in the process that caught me out. On inserting the USB stick back in the car after loading the map data, the car no-longer automatically tries to apply the update; you have to go in to map update settings on the centre console and tell the car to load the update.

For info, update time was less then 4 minutes,
