Wow, sounds more like making us nearly as good as Tesla software!
Got mine yesterday, booked in for NYE.

I asked a few questions but the dealership admitted there was not much more information for them either. The "intelligent route planner" part was one I asked about. My hope is it isn't just an integration with the car sat nav, which as we all know is poor. My hope is that it can also present the SOC to Android Auto or any other routing software of choice. If it doesn't this will be of no use to mean and a huge disappointment.

The battery heater "switch to the central screen" was also intriguing. I assume it means the infotainment side of the screen and that it is a touch screen button that activates the battery heater, supplementing the "hidden" one buried in the sub menus. My hope is that this is a button that can turn on the battery heater whilst driving. The explanation of how this works in the manual has always confused me. HVAC voice activation could be useful but I am unsure about the usefulness of the Alexa voice assistant. Does anyone use that? If so what do you use it for?

Of course the intelligent route planner thing is for the sat nav itself only because it's an update of the current intelligent route planner that we have, which by the way I find more than good enough, and now will be even better.

The heater thing is a widget for the home screen, a shortcut, the functionality of the heater system will be the same which doesn't have any flaws.

I don't use Alexa but I have friends that use it on the car for asking to play a certain song or playlist on Amazon Music (no phone needed, integrated on the car) or to do smarthome things like start the washing machine or close the windows.

Local dealer says my May 2024 Advance has no recall, but I don't have wireless AA which I what I really want.

Anyone with a 2024 car got the letter?

Had these updates yesterday whilst it was in for a service. Other than the pre heat/ alarm issue, nothing has changed. I read the recall letter as the updates were for WHEN the new features are available so these may be rolled out in time.

Car is now on my hands again, in short, they updated the gateway module and along the way they made updates to some or all rest of modules depending on a particular unit needs, two more in my case.

They also update the infotainment, and they reinstall the software even if you already had the latest non OTA version.

Don't know if they did map update since I already had latest USB ones before applying the campaign, last time before this campaign that I booked my car specifically for a new infotainment software update they did not update the maps, but they told me that if requested by user specifically, dealer can also update maps.

The lease company will send you it or email you. Just got mine via email.

I had the software upgrade carried out at the Nissan dealership here in the Netherlands two days ago.. Altogether, it took them about 2.5 hours, and the process went smoothly.

Also a May 2024 Advance and no recall for me yet - I did have an update to the phone app just now, but that was related to auto-renewing subscription, (I know, just what everyone was screaming for, right?).

I don't know if this means our version already has the upgrade or we are later in the queue. But I have a lease car, so tbh I'm waiting for my first service and I'll ask them to check then.

If it helps in Japan all Ariya's built after March 2024 don't need the recall update and can receive directly the new OTA update, so probably those two May 2024 Ariya's will not get the campaign letter because those units have already the newer gateway software.

My Ariya received these 2 updates during its service on 17 December. No noticeable changes afterwards but hopefully it will receive updates when they’re ready.

My biggest complaint has been the lack of any OTA updates in 18 months - not even maps! I noted that the map version on the Juke I had as a courtesy car during the service was at least 3 versions more up to date than my car (checking the firmware in the settings). I wish I’d seen the earlier comments in this thread about asking the dealer to install map updates while they had the car. I thought they’d come OTA.

The dealer commented that the wired software updates have to be done via a laptop and a lead with several dongles to connect to the OBD port. They have just one machine and the updates often crash so it can take hours. They had 3 Ariyas in that day for updates and due to the technical problems some people who were waiting for their cars to be done had been there all afternoon.

Nissan really are in trouble…
