Just had my software recall updates and I can report zero obvious changes to anything. Clearly wireless android auto won't happen on my car anyway. No extra buttons I can see for anything. All it did is reset all my profiles to guest only as an option. I am sure it has done more but it isn't obvious. Even the map is the same as before.

Ditto. I had my updates installed on 17 December during a service but it hasn’t changed anything that I can see.

I’m particularly miffed about map updates. There haven’t been any during my 2 years of ownership, and the map version when compared to the courtesy Juke I had while my Ariya was at the dealer is at least 3 versions newer in the Juke.

I don’t know if map updates is part of the “Maps and Live Data” part of Nissan Connect. If it is then that subscription is flawed and despite it having expired today, I can’t renew it because it’s vanished from the Nissan Store.

Reported to Nissan days ago but they must be having Christmas and New Year off…

Things are in a mess. There pinnacle electric product, years of experience in the EV world, don't seem to make a difference. If new maps are on more recent vehicles using the same tom tom service, why doesn't the Aryia get them even if it's dealer only?

Just shows the stare of the company still doing things the old way. Not surprised there is a potential merger on the cards. Not sure Honda in the EV space is any better to be honest.

Shane to say it but the likes of BYD are leaping ahead and should never be this good this soon. 90 year old company trying very hard to fail. They have been the EV game longer than Tesla but are now decades behind them in most areas. A Joke.

I bought the aryia for its design looks, how it drove and comfort. Also I thought they may have used the 10 years plus of the leaf experience and lept forward with innovation and technology especially at the software level. I have driven the leaf and it's much more solid car, software besides. That's not great on both when it should be leaps and bounds ahead of the leaf. Shame. Rant over.

Never liked Nissan, only went for it as it was a good lease deal.
Never Again.

As alluded above, I thought they had a lead over everyone else in EVs, but so many things in the Ariya under par.

Why the resolution of the screens so poor?
Why no one pedal drive?
Why does the 360 camera turn off as soon as you switch from reverse to forward?
Why the heated steering wheel never comes on automatically?
Why does the seat heating seating comes on the passenger side when it isn't occupied?
Why is the lane centering so bad?

That and many other things in my limited experience. I have also experienced the seat heating experience when it's empty to! Something easily sorted through software to. Like many of the gremlins are. I just hope they later cars are in a better place than the first iterations.
