To become 3rd biggest Automaker

Question will they combine the best of both or worse of both.

It's not a fusion but a forming of an automotive group/joint venture under the umbrella of another entity. It's not confirmed yet anyway. Either way they will form a strategic alliance in a few months meanwhile. Also if the joint venture finally goes through Mitsubishi is considering joining too.

They need to before they go under, especially Nissan. Not sure about Mitsubishi.

Nissan have a controlling stake in Mitsubishi so if a full merger goes ahead it’ll be included by default.
