Map Update Tool

Hi Folks,

I bought my Ariya e4orce about a month ago. The map software end in 5, but I'm told that there is an update that ends in 9. I installed the Nissan Map Update Tool on my mac, and downloaded the map information onto a USB key from my car as instructed. When I insert the USB key into the computer, I get a message that there are mandatory updates for the map update tool, and I should install the latest version. According to the Nissan website, I have already installed the latest version. Does anyone know of a way around this, or is there a newer version hiding somewhere on Nissan's website?

Weird, I didn't have that issue, although I used the Windows version of the tool.

Same here, just updated UK maps from 5 to 9 manually. Used the Windows version. For some reason OTA updates wont happen, car say up to date when clearly not...

OTA update for software and maps is always delivered on a delayed schedule of several months, latest software available immediately is only available through dealer and maps through the map tool.

So in that regard they're by design up to date through OTA.

I got it sorted out. Turns out that Nissan had posted the tool update to the back end server, but had not posted the actual tool update to the download page. They have now updated the download version, and I’ve been able to update the maps to the _9 version.

Hasn’t helped much. I used the newly updated maps to take me to an address in Cambridge. It took me to the wrong place. Google maps to the rescue….
