All, one winters night whilst on our drive the Ariya opened its sunroof and all windows, you have guessed it in the middle of a huge storm. Despite a stressed call, No advice was received from Nissan service. Luckily no electronics were harmed by the heavy water ingress, the car just stank of damp for months. The issue arose from the key “unlock” function being triggered by 3 second pressure from my tight jeans (laugh). To prevent a future glitch I have now bought an RFI pouch which isolates the key from the car. This pouch also cuts down security risk from scanners that can copy your key code. A little cumbersome and less convenient but way better than a flooded car (yes saturated seats, carpets, mats……) or a stolen car.
