Faulty vehicle information display, it turns on and off but screen is completely blank (black). I suspect of a software issue because prior to fault the only thing I did is to update the software

I was told that the update that was supposed to fix cabin pre heat alarm issues caused issues with the body control unit !!!!
I haven’t had the alarm update as the dealer told me a tech bulletin had been emailed to him not to carry out anymore updates as it could damage the body control module ……he gave me the bulletin number as I have an open case with Nissan customer service .
