Replace wing mirror

Knocked a bush while driving which caused the glass to fall out of the casing of the mirror.
It didn’t break as it was attached by the electrical cables.
I had to pop it back in to the casing but didn’t connect what I think is now the cable which controls the blind spot . So now an error is showing.
Is it best to remove the mirror casing and reconnect or remove the glass?

I am waiting on Nissan to repalce my mirror glass under warranty.
While I was waiting I googled just to see if could fix it myself.

Thanks, my ariya has the indicator light in the mirror so can’t seem to find the lip to separate it.
