And here it is. The brand new "tune up" of the app is up and running. 48 hours of no doubt necessary feverish activity to get the app closer to what other marque owners enjoy, maybe some advanced and more innovative features that leap frogs the competition. With feverish excitement I logged in to see what new and shiny changes I had to play with. Nothing! Zip! Zilch! Nada and all the other puerile Americanisms that represents a completely deflating let down.
No prior warning that the app would be down, nor warning that 24 hours was now 48. No information before or after on what was to change. Just what was it all about?
The Electric Viking on YT regularly enumerates the many problems faced by Nissan, this recent "effort" encapsulates quite neatly how poorly run it is. I am flabbergasted by the whole ineptitude of it. It's not like this is the first time the app has been tweaked for no discernible advantage whatsoever. Who does this benefit? I am genuinely fearful that I have a car that could become worthless if they go bankrupt before I can get rid of it. Such a shame.

Big Massive Ditto. It's embarrassing for a 90 year old company. So many legacy manufactures are not doing the basics right. This software should leading the way considering how long they been in the electric car game. I e. The longest if not close to it. At least employ a software company to do it or succumb to Google that other are doing. Luck my car is on lease, so won't loose anything. I am already paying over the odds compared to today's prices.ashleycarr wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2024 6:17 am And here it is. It's not the car for me, it's the best I've ever had. It's that it should be class leading, it's the waste of the advantage Nissan had, it's the pig-headed stupidity of the management that has tossed it all away. It is a prime example of what Tony Seba cites as the hubris of incumbents. Legacy automakers are the next Kodak, Blackberry, etc. etc. Can the writing be more clearly on the wall? The Chinese electric car making industry is going to eat their lunch, breakfast and dinner and they have no one else to blame other than themselves.
The app can be better there's no doubt, and it will improve, and some things has been added since launch, but there are others that are desirable that even Nissan has available in other markets like digital key on your phone or a smartwatch app among others. This is not Tesla, everyone knows it, leading software is not their first priority but reliability and solid car assembly definitely is, among other things like many before thought details that some manufacturers like Tesla still are lacking for being non experienced automakers and it shows.

If you mean the "Route to EV" when you click on the map icon, no, mine is working fine. Are you subscribed to the function? Not sure if it is paid for or not.
