Nissan has announced the 6th OTA update for Nissan Ariya.

This particular update can only be received if you have all applicable recall measures done on your particular unit and if you already had all previous OTA updates installed, including the 5th one that provided HVAC improvements.

The update will have three variants, one for vehicles produced from October 2024 and onwards (which already includes the improvements) and the other two for all previously built Ariya's depending on manufactured date.

Improvements:

-Intelligent Route Planner improvements for satnav
-New voice recognition commands for controlling the HVAC and Head Up Display
-Improvements on Alexa built-in app, including Amazon account switching and voice invoke
-Wireless Android Auto
-Improved access for the battery heater switch on the infotainment display

I've never experienced OTA updates for mine, set up to automatically do so. Assumed Nissan couldn't be bothered in the UK.

Only had 2 myself. So not getting excited about it really. Fixing a map is the least of the software problems to fix.

By default yes, when the update is available for your car a pop-up will appear on your satnav, asking permission to install it, as depending on the update the car will not be available to drive while applying it.

Nothing come through asking me for permission to update yet, also will it fix the wildly inaccurate state of charge estimate which on my car is over pessimistic by very large amount

You mean the estimate on the satnav or the guess-o-meter on the driver's display?
