Having used Intelligent Octopus Go successfully since September after the recent Nissan Connect Update the Ariya failed to charge using Octopus and I had to just control the charge manually myself.

Speaking to Octopus and the Nissan dealer didn’t come up with a solution.

Here is what I managed to do to get the Ariya back working with Intelligent Octopus Go.

Hope this helps.

The solution I used is outlined below:
1. In the car with the EV cable attached and engine turned on - go to apps and EV schedule page
2. Set a charging schedule outside the current actual time
3. Select ‘only charge at home’
4. Select ‘carry out test charge’ using the Octopus app.
5. Wait for the schedule you had set in the car to change (you will see this happen dynamically on the screen). This is the Intelligent Octopus Go taking over control of the schedule.

The Octopus app will then confirm the test was successful and a new charging schedule will appear against the max charge set and the ready by time you set on the Octopus app.

I’ve attached a photo of the Nissan screen I referred to above. Image[/img]

I am having the same issues and no solution coming from Octopus so will give this a go. The Octopus instructions say to not schedule a charge with the car or charge point so are you saying you are using only the Octopus app to do this? I've not seen the "only charge at home" you refer to. I can't see your image either. Could you repost

That only charge at home setting is in the "EV" section on the infotainment display on the car, inside "all apps" widget.

Did you resolve this? I’m considering switching to IOG. I have a MyEnergi Zappi which is also compatible with IOG so wondering if that’s a better option than setting up with the car?

Last night I tried to charge to 80% with my Intelligent Octopus Go with my OHME Home Pro. It charged to 100%. OHME say the following:

“Unfortunately, there is a bug with the Nissan app linking to Ohme, so for now, you would need to leave this unpaired until the product team rectifies the issue.

I recommend setting a battery limit within your car's settings to stop the charger from continuing to charge the battery to 100%. Reducing the target charge level directly from your car should prevent this from happening.

You can also prevent overcharging by limiting your battery setting to 80% or 90%. This can be done through your app or in the car's dashboard.

Please note that the charger has no API connection with your vehicle, so it cannot read your car’s battery level. The settings configured within your vehicle and the charger determine the charging behaviour.

We have recently become aware that there is an issue affecting Nissan API functionalities. Our Product team is currently investigating this issue and will look to resolve this as soon as possible.

As an Ohme Labs feature, communication directly through your vehicle (via API) is still in development. As a result, it may not work as intended from time to time.

For the moment you would need to disconnect the API link (by clicking "Unpair my Nissan", then "Unpair now") and then adjust your charge schedule slightly to 'add' a certain amount of charge on top of any existing battery, rather than meeting a 'target'. “

Anyone else noticing this? What are we paying Nissan App for?

Touch wood, all is still well here with Ariya / Ohme Home Pro / Intelligent Octopus Go. The Nissan Connect update didn't sem to hurt (except I did have to re-register the car in the Ohme App). I wonder whether OHME are guessing in their response to you because they don't know what's going on?

I've had your symptom of charging to (or wanting to charge to) 100% a half a dozen times in the last 18 months . There have been two reasons (1) OHME charger going offline and (2) OHME not able to connect to the NISSAN API. It's usually easy to know when this happens as the OHME app reports 0% for the Ariya SOC.

Almost always I can fix this sooner-or-later by disconnecting the car in the OHME app and immediately re-adding it.

If this isn't possible right away e.g. Nissan are doing maintenance, my work-around is this: use the Ohme App as usual except instead of setting he target charge to 80%, create a new 'routine' with a target of the amount of charge you want adding, e.g. If the car is at 35%, set a target of 80-35 = 45%.

It's clear that both Nissan and Ohme have their own server downtime quite frequently, the last OHME one I detected was in the early hours of the 6th Jan.

By the way, all this works and I don't pay for anything in the Nissan app.
