I hope i am not tempting fate, I got my ariya in June 24 as a demo with 10k on it. Love the car and i think its underrated compared to some makes i looked at. The probs. i have had so far was a tapping like a loose seat fitting in the rear, which was fixed, the alarm going off which several of you have had, again fixed and no problem since. Recall from Nissan to have a shim kit fitted and the current nissan call back for the wired software update. I also hate the terms and conditions button, and why cant the car start in the settings you leave it in, ie eco, B for example

Not sure if this is related to what’s been discussed but tonight I got this ( see picture), with regards to this and all my previous problems during past few weeks all seem to stem since it was serviced, prior to service never had a problem at all.
Will be back at Nissan 1st thing Monday as until this came on I was losing % and mileage and they said it was down to how I drove 🤷🤷

ThoughI have never had a problem with the 12v battery, I am concerned about both the reports in these threads and the fact that the 12v system seems to behave so peculiarly.
I am one of the cheapskates who won't pay any subscription to Nissan. So, after 2 years, pretty much all the App tells me is the car's mileage.
I have learnt to live without the App functions but I do not like being unable to see where the car is. So, I fitted a tracker that is wired directly across the battery terminals (under the bonnet at the front in a RHD car). Of course, I can now see where the car is and the track all journeys, plus many other things.
One of those other things is 12v battery voltage and the device interprets "ignition on", presumably by rate of change of voltage or when the voltage passes a trigger point. This shows each start of the car, each start of 12v charging and, consequently, each start of standby charge. An alert is sent in each case.
From this information, I get a different perspective of the 12 volt system. The voltage rarely drops below 12.3 before a standby charge. The standby charge initiates after approximately 24 hours of vehicle idle and the charging voltage goes up quickly to 14.5 volts.
I have just left the car standing for a week and the odd thing is that the 12v battery charge is initiated one day, 8 minutes 6 seconds after the last so that the time is not identical each day. Very strange! Why such a precise, daily time increment?
Another interesting thing is that when I open a door or the tailgate then the accelerometer in the tracker identifies that as a vibration alert (not ignition on) but, after that alert, the voltage will rise past 13v. It is as if the car identifies that one has entered the vehicle and increases the 12 volt system pressure ready for the imminent start. For those of you with a voltage monitor, do you see this behaviour?
So, all this additional information is giving me a different perspective on the 12v system. Clearly lots of software and hardware driving the apparently mundane task of charging 12 volt batteries.

Good luck. I have turned as many systems off as I can, so my battery doesn't discharge when I wash the car! Sad, but clearly this is a problem that more than a few have had.

Cosmyc,
Just had email back from dearlship

Unfortunately we are carrying out a lot of testing as Nissan are getting us to be a lot more thorough with our EV testing at the moment.

I appreciate your patience and cooperation.

I do not expect it to be ready tomorrow I'm afraid.

So seems to be going through lots of tests and it’s now been 2 weeks

Sounds like the brand is interested on your particular issue of your unit and they're doing extensive testing to develop a solution to learn and apply to the next units may have this problem.

Patience!
