I'm in the same position, my maps and live traffic subscription expired at the end of February alongside the intelligent route planner one. I have the option to renew the intelligent route planner in the App, but nothing for live traffic.
This was the unhelpful reply to my second email with Nissan Customer Services:
We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your NissanConnect Services application.
Please follow the steps below, and if unsuccessful, please reply to this email with the requested information below the troubleshooting.
Wait up to 24 hours for features to appear
Update the software in the vehicle: Turn Ignition on > Wait 15-20 minutes for system to fully load > [HOME] > [Settings] > [Software Update] > [Start Software Update] - (Even if you are already on the latest version of system software, forcing the system to check for an update can often resolve these issues due to forcing it to connect to the data centre)
Wait 24 hours to confirm features are now visible
After 24 hours, if these steps have not resolved the issue, please provide the below information:
Screenshot image of showing activation state in the app:
If accessible, image of services activation status(es) can be obtained by doing the following:
Log into the NissanConnect Services app > touch person-shaped icon on home screen > then select vehicle on screen that then loads > then look for a section labelled as "Status"
If it is not possible to access the above screen and/or alternatively, please provide an image showing how the app's home screen appears immediately after you log into the app
App Version [log in to account > Profile (bottom right of app screen) > Version]
Smartphone Model (e.g. iPhone 14 Pro)
Operating System Version (e.g. iOS 18.1)
Check connected services icon on the head unit (next to the time): if a line is through the little car icon, then the TCU is not functioning normally. We will then need to ask for the picture of the car icon on the screen
Should you have any questions or issues, we remain at your disposal.
It doesn't really answer the question, does it! As a side note, my e4orce Ariya has done 27,000 miles now and needed four new tyres when it was serviced. The back tyres were actually more worn than the front, which would probably have lasted another few months.

My 2 years are up on the Intelligent Route Planner and the Maps and Live Traffic. Have renewed the first, but like others I am missing the option for the Maps and Live Traffic. Called Nissan, uninstalled and reinstalled app but no different. Case is now escalated so will see what happens.

Paulm,
They sent me all that but even after Nissan Connect ringing me I still couldn’t make it work, eventually once they cleared up my maps and live data it started to be ok, got other problems and car still with dealership , now 10 days and still have no answers after dropping in and asking today

Currently going through the same issue. Had quick replies from the Nissan Connect Team, which followed the same pattern as outlined by others. Issue now escalated to the Server Team and awaiting update. Did anyone get this resolved, if so any tips much appreciated ?

AJ2023, eventually after 3 weeks trying Nissan Connect sorted me out, if by any chance your maps freeze ( mine did) hold in the power button just below screen until screen goes blank and keep pressed until it reboots( sorry if you already knew this)
I've still had no resolution, just that it was passed to the "Server team" too. I asked if they could make the service free until they could fix the system to take a payment for it and thought I had a positive response, but that was ten days ago and it hasn't actually happened. It seems ridiculous that there is no way to use quite an important feature because Nissan have no way to take a £3 payment subscription. I offered to pay over the phone but wasn't surprised to hear that it wasn't possible.
Fingers crossed that someone is actually trying to fix it!

Yay! Its back! This morning, just now I can see the map outline behind my car on the main app screen. I've got 65 out of 69 activations (previously 43/69) when you drill down to the various components in the 'Vehicle Data' part of the app. Maps and Live Traffic is definitely back! Hooray! Only took from 24/2/25 to 17/4/25, several emails to the senior managers at head office and Customer Service. I came that close to turning my back on Nissan forever. Cant believe it would take soooo long to restore a feature that was meant to be a feature. Though in the store It just shows it as 'updating' under the banner, but I noticed they've given me Remote Controls, Battery Manager and Smart Alerts for free until Feb 26. I was paying monthly for these (not Smart Alerts) but they were due to stop on 24th April, as I had tried cancelling everything in the hope of restoring everything. - that didnt work. Not having Maps & Live Traffic prevented my Ohme EV charger app from syncing properly, so it couldnt update the battery status while it (Nissan's Location Services) was missing. So, my dynamic charging should also work again now. Hope others here get it back too! Keep asking them!! Happy Easter/Bank Holidays!
