So Tusker called me this week saying the order I placed in Feb can't happen as Nissan are not acepting any more orders?! Not happy but not overly cross as I may have dodged a bullet by not fully researching the car before ordering.

Sorry to hear you wont be getting the car you ordered/wanted having already wasted many months waiting for your chosen car, my order from Tusker way back in January has been on unlimited back order since Feb, with no build or delivery date being offered. My expectation was always 12months to 18months I think that will now slip. As far as I can tell Tusker have a very limited relationship with Nissan. Tusker customers are way down the pecking order when stock/build and delivery slots are allocated. Its just the way it is unfortunately.

I was told that Nissan has production issues still due to the COVID semi conductor shortage and numbers are very limited. Seems from the internet that Nissan have reliablity issues with the cars so yes you might be lucky to have avoided longer term issues.

What are tusker doing with your order?
Is it now canceled so you are released to purchase else where? Are they offering some compensation regarding the delay and cancelation.
]I can stil order the car on Tuskers website. How can this be that case, Nissan are not selling the car anymore?

Seems to be simply that demand is surpassing offer, even the Qashqai e-Power has a waiting list on my Nissan dealer to order it.
