Hi all, just purchased my first EV and loving the Ariya so far. It was an ex demo and kept in good shape which was loaded with extras. One of the extras was a patterned kick plate. However I can't get it to light up. Was wondering if anyone else has the patterned version (not the Ariya text one) and how it looks lit up?
Ps: I have enabled welcome lights through car settings menu (although my car doesn't have those fitted as they dont turn on), turned ambient lighting to max etc..
I have the ones with the Ariya text logo, supposedly they are activated with a magnet on the door, when the magnet leaves the near field contact area (opening the door) it illuminates for a period of time and then turns off, it has to be connected to some power supply, unless there's some factory induction coil to transfer power wirelessly to the kickplate, don't know that part.
Thanks Cosmyc, I've booked my car under warranty to get it looked at, hopefully they can get it to light up! only issue is that Nissan's earliest appointment is not till November.
